Today at the United Nations Headquarters, the Chair of the Pacific Small Island Developing States (PSIDS), H.E. Mr. Tapugao Falefou, Permanent Representative of Tuvalu to the UN, delivered the joint PSIDS statement.
The statement highlighted the value of South-South Cooperation in delivering practical, locally driven solutions for SIDS, from advancing regional resilience initiatives to improving digital access in low-connectivity environments.
It also stressed the importance of ensuring that cooperation efforts are inclusive, responsive to country priorities, and supported by accessible tools and technologies, reinforcing our shared commitment to the 2030 Agenda and the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS.
Grateful for the continued solidarity of our partners and for the role South-South Cooperation plays in supporting the Pacific region’s sustainable development priorities.
