THE OPEN LETTER OF MR. TOMISLAV NIKOLIC,PRESIDENT OF SERBIA

Tuesday, 03 November 2015

Dear Friends,

In a few days, the General Conference of UNESCO will discuss if Serbian churches and monasteries, the Serbian heritage, the heart and soul of Serbia in Kosovo and Metohija should be given under ‘protection’ of the so-called Republic of Kosovo. Under ‘protection’ of those who set to torch and destroyed these very same churches and monasteries in 2004.

Dear Friends,

For months now, the Republic of Serbia and its Government have conducted a diplomatic struggle to prevent ‘Kosovo’ from becoming a member of UNESCO. To make the world public opinion understand why the so-called ‘Kosovo’ must not be admitted to UNESCO, we have made, among others, a film on the crimes committed against the Serbian cultural heritage since 1999.

Dear Friends,

While what belongs to us is discussed in Paris, we can sit warm and cozy at home and believe naively that truth will win all by itself without an effort of each and every one of us. But, we can also take something, however small the something may seem.

Dear Friends,

I call on you, too, to help. Please go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lp23SfxITUc&feature=player_embedded , see the film and share it on social networks.

                                                                                    Yours sincerely,

                                                                                    Tomislav Nikolić
