THE PHILIPPINES AND MOLDOVA SIGNS JOINT LETTER ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS

17 October 2017, New York – The Philippines and Moldova signed today a Joint Letter addressed to the United Nations’ Secretary-General António Guterres advising that on 30 March 1992, the Philippines and Moldova established diplomatic relations by way of exchange of Notes between the two countries.  Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the United Nations H.E. Mr. Teodoro L. Locsin Jr. signed for the Philippines, while Permanent Representative of Moldova to the United Nations H.E. Mr. Victor Moraru signed for Moldova.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established by way of an exchange of Diplomatic Notes between the Philippine Embassy in Moscow and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova on 30 March 1992. 

The signing of the joint letter came on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. END
