Namibia congratulates Mr. Paulus Noa, on his election to
the African Union Advisory Board on Corruption
On 31 January 2017, the 28th Session of the African Union (AU) Assembly of Heads of State and Government appointed eleven (11) Members of the AU Advisory Board on Corruption, for a two-year term (2017-2019).
The newly-elected Board Members include Mr. Paulus Noa, Director: Anti-Corruption Commission, who represents the Southern African Region, along with Madame Florence Ziyambi from Zimbabwe. Mr. Noa is not new to the continental advisory body on corruption, as he previously served as a founding Board Member from 2009-2011, appointed by the 14th Session of the AU Assembly held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 29th to 30th January 2009. The Government and people of the Republic of Namibia therefore congratulate Mr. Noa, and wish him all the best.
Namibia ratified the African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption in August 2004.
