Message:

Thank you for visiting the website of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of the Marshall Islands to the United Nations.

In our traditional way of welcoming friends and visitors to our islands we say, "Iokwe. Kom Kanooj In Ruainene!" Greetings. We warmly welcome you.

We hope that after your visit with us, you will take with you an understanding of the work of our Mission, as well as important information regarding the international priorities of the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI).

Although it is very small, the Mission has the important function of assisting the RMI Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the active advancement of key national policy goals within both the United Nations system, and its member states.

In addition serving as a vocal advocate, the Mission is also charged with keeping the Minister of Foreign Affairs - and through him the President of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, members of his Cabinet, and the people of the Marshall Islands - informed about the activities and policy discussions taking place within the United Nations. The Mission provides regular reports on meetings and conferences, and makes recommendations to the Government on necessary actions.

Please feel free to explore the website, which will be updated frequently.

We wish to extend special thanks to UNITAR and the Computer Training Institute (CTI) of DePaul University in Chicago in providing website assistance.

Thank you kindly.

Ambassador H.E. Mr. Phillip H. Muller
