Guided Tours Unit is offering special tours for the month of February, titled "Black History Month Tour".
The Black history-themed tour of the United Nations will grant you a unique look at the Ark of Return, a permanent memorial in honor of the victims of slavery and the transatlantic slave trade, located on the United Nations Visitors Plaza. The special tour will also include access to the Security Council Chamber, the Trusteeship Council Chamber and the General Assembly Hall. Please note that access to these spaces is contingent upon the schedule of official meetings at the United Nations.
You will learn about the contributions of people of African descent to the work of the United Nations in fields such as peace and security and human rights, with a special emphasis on decolonization. Come explore Africa through the UN lens!
