Excellencies,

Distinguished colleagues,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Kyrgyzstan fully aliens itself with the Statement delivered by the distinguished Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Belarus on behalf of GoFF. We also would like to thank the panelists for their excellent and valuable presentations. Let me just add a few words in my national capacity.

Kyrgyzstan stands for the increasing role of the family in contemporary society. We are confident that the family is the best and the natural environment for the growth and well-being of children and has primary responsibility for children’s moral and spiritual education and protection. We believe that the proper and healthy  development of children cannot be achieved without strengthening the role of the family.

The government of the Kyrgyz Republic invests significant efforts to support the family. The Family Code; the law "On Social and Legal Protection from Domestic Violence; National Strategy for Reproductive Health; Program on Social Protection Development, and some other documents provide us with the basic rules for legal relations within the family and determines measures for individual work with families including families in difficult situations.

Today we develop the National program to support family, motherhood and childhood. More than 100000 low-income families receive social relief within the framework of the social safety net. And this year social relief was increased by 10%.

Particular attention was given to the elderly. Government policy aims to strengthen social stability, health care quality improvement, integration, systematic and targeted approaches in problem solving.

We all belong to a family and are convinced that the family - is the foundation of society. If all families of a given society are conscious of their roles and responsibilities in creating and developing healthy, responsible members, then society and subsequently the nation will benefit.

Thank you for your attention
