DIPLOMATIC WEEK INFORMATION BULLETIN
TRANSPORTATION
Airport transportation courtesies are provided to Designate High Commissioners and Ambassadors only. The courtesy is NOT accorded to Heads of Missions who are already accredited or to their accompanying delegation members. Transportation is provided for Designate Heads of Mission and their spouses from arrival to departure. However, this courtesy will not be provided beyond the weekend following the end of the official activities. Where Heads of Mission opt to remain in Jamaica beyond this period, they are expected to undertake private transportation arrangements.
NB: Transportation will however be provided for all Heads (including those already accredited) in respect of the following events (Briefings & Addresses, Diplomatic Dinner, Excursion). Missions should note that the Government VIP Lounge will provide meeting courtesies for all accredited Heads and their delegations.
ACCOMODATION
Participating High Commissioners/Ambassadors and Designate Heads are expected to make arrangements for their own accommodation. The Protocol Department is however prepared to assist with securing reservations where requested, on behalf of Heads/Designates. The use of hotels within the proximity of the Ministry is highly recommended, as this will facilitate the transportation arrangements. These Hotels are: The Jamaica Pegasus, The Courtleigh Hotel & Suites and The Spanish Court Hotel.
