Presidency of the Security Council - February 2016: Venezuela

Open debate on 15 February 2016, at 10:00, in the Security Council Chamber, on “Respect for the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations as a key element for the maintenance of international peace and security”, in connection with the agenda item “Maintenance of international peace and security”.

Seventieth session,  2 nd meeting of the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Revitalization of the work of the General Assembly, 16 February 2016, at 10:00, in Conference Room 4.

The Special Committee on the Charter of the United Nations and on the Strengthening of the Role of the Organization will hold its 2016 session from 16 to 24 February 2016. The 281st meeting will be held on 16 February, at 10:00, in Conference Room 3.

UNPA to issue UN Free and Equal stamps promoting LGBT equality

On 5 February 2016, the United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) will issue a set of six commemorative stamps to promote the UN Free & Equal campaign for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality. The new stamps were designed by Sergio Baradat of UNPA and mark the first time that the United Nations has issued stamps with an LGBT theme.
