The Republic of Latvia and the Kingdom of Eswatini singed a Joint Communiqué establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries. The signatories were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Latvia to the United Nations, H.E. Andrejs Pildegovičs, for Latvia, and the Ambassador, Permanent Representative to the United Nations. H,E. Melusi Martin Masuku, for the Kingdom of Eswatini. Both Ambassadors welcomed the diplomatic relations as a tool to foster bilateral ties. They also discussed ways to promote economic cooperation, UN reform process and the implementation of the UN sustainable development goals.
