Nadia Murad, a Yazidi rights activist and the first Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and Denis Mukwege, a gynecologist who helps victims of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo, were awarded the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize today.

The Government of Panama recently presented its new Multidimensional Child Poverty Index during the X Ministerial Forum for Development in Latin America and the Caribbean, "Partnerships for the reduction of structural inequalities under the framework of the SDGs". The event was organized by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and the United Nations Development Programme.
