Mecca crane collapse: Eight Algerian hajjis still hospitalized

Eight Algerian hajjis are still hospitalized (pilgrims to the Holy Places of Islam) following the crane collapse in Mecca's Grand Mosque on Friday, said Saturday the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdelaziz Benali Cherif.

"Eight Algerian injured hajjis are still hospitalized," Benali Cherif .

The Algerian hajjis that are still in hospitals are Loucif Makhlouf (Oum El Bouaghi), Rahmani Abderahmane and Djaghal Hocine Mohamed (Touggourt), Rahmani Abdelkader (Ain Defla), Abid Fethi (Blida), Belkhir Hamadi (Batna), Bouzid Youcef (Oran), and Mahdi Fatma Zohra (Tizi Ouzou).

"The list of the injured has been drawn up in coordination with the Saudi authorities concerned after the visit of representatives of Algeria's consular services and members of the Algerian medical mission to all the hospitals of the region," he added.
