The Days of German culture took off in Bukhara, the report by Pravda Vostoka national Russian-language newspaper said May 15 this year.
The festival of friendship includes holding of various meetings, discussions and colorful performances, according to the newspaper.
The agenda of the Days of the German culture is quite hectic – the viewers may enjoy the concert of the German academic philharmonics and the artistic exhibition. At the same time, the locals will be able to talk to German scholars and people of culture, and others.
“As a rule, we organize large events in Tashkent. This year we have decided to change the established tradition and allow the residents of other cities of Uzbekistan to learn more about the German culture,” – Ambassador of Germany to Uzbekistan Matthias Mayer said.
“We speak the most beautiful language in the world – the language of music,” the chair of the German academic philharmonics, the conductor Claus-Peter Modest said, “thanks to it we have found the common language with our Uzbek colleagues very quickly. Such mutual understanding makes us confident that our appearance in Bukhara will be successful.”
