At the second half of May 11 this year the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and President of the Republic of Korea Lee Myung-bak visited the Mustakillik (Independence) Square in downtown Tashkent.
According to the report by Uzbekistan National News Agency, President Lee Myung-bak has laid wreath to the Independence and Humanism Monument, which serves as a symbol of freedom, bright future and noble aspirations.
President of Korea has highly assessed the creative and betterment work undertaken at the nation’s main square.
“This Square has indeed become a symbol of freedom of the Uzbek people,” President Lee Myung-bak said.
