The regional stage of the contest for President’s prize, namely Tashabbus-2009, has come to an end in Andijan, the report by Uzbekistan National News Agency Russian-language website has said.
More than 50 entrepreneurs, craftsmen and farmers are reported to have taken part at the contest. They were the winners of city- and district-level contests.
This traditional contest is important in terms of developing entrepreneurship and craftsmanship, supporting farmers. The annual increase in the number of its participants, as well as the rise in quality and increase of types of products of agriculture, industry and craftsmanship they put out do serve as a vivid testimony for the aforesaid.
For instance, the wooden items made by craftsmen Abdukarim Kholboev of Pakhtaobod District and Abdukhalim Mamatov of Khonobod District are well known not only inside the country but also abroad.
Tursunoy Khujamova from Markhamat District, Shukhrat Khujanazarov from Kurgantepa District and Rokhatoy Yuldasheva from Asaka District are reported to have been successfully running their businesses of producing apparel. At the same time, they create jobs for the locals.
On the outcomes of contest the master maker of national dolls Sayyora Juraeva of Altynkul District has won in the nomination “The best craftsman”.
The owner of Barchinoy Private Company based in Khojaobod District Rakhimjon Rakhimberdiev has been recognized the best among entrepreneurs.
The owner of the farm Izboskan asali, which produces the quality honey in Izbaskan District, Rokhatbek Tuychiev is reported to have won in the nomination “The best farmer”. All winners obtained the right to participate at the nation-wide-level contest due in Tashkent soon.
