The book stocks of the Information Recourse Center of the Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh accounts for about half a million editions. Each year it is being added with 10 up to 11 thousand volumes. More than 500 students enjoy the services of the Center every day.
The exhibition has been launched at the Center with presentation of over 200 titles of scientific literature issued in 2008. Those who took a floor at the opening of the exhibition, particularly, the professors and teachers of the university and students spoke about the role of book in the life of person and its influence in upbringing of the young generation, as well as about work now being accomplished to strengthen the propaganda of book in Uzbekistan.
“The large-scale work is being accomplished at the university to raise the scientific potential of students,” the Vice Rector for Spirituality Botir Matmuratov said. “All of these literatures are important for students, including, the post-graduate students who undertake scientific research on various topics.”
