Permanent Mission of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Nations

On March 10-11 this year the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain Miguel Angel Moratinos will arrive in the Republic of Uzbekistan with an official visit, according to the press-release by the Press Service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry.

During the visit the sides will discuss the state and prospects of development of the Uzbek-Spanish relations and Uzbekistan-EU cooperation in the context of the forthcoming chairmanship of Spain in the EU in the first half of 2010. The sides will also have an exchange of views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

During the stay of Miguel Angel Moratinos in Tashkent the two sides will hold a business-forum with the participation of the Uzbek and Spanish business circles.

In the framework of the Spanish delegation’s visit the sides are expected to sign the Memorandum of cooperation in the sphere of tourism between the “Uzbektourism” National company and the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade of Spain.
