The 47th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad among pupils opened in Tashkent.

During the years of independence, Uzbekistan implemented a lot of work for the radical renewal and reform of the sphere of education.

About 9.5 thousand schools newly built, overhauled and equipped with modern teaching and laboratory equipment, taken drastic steps on qualitative and methodological renewal of the education process. Built more than 1,500 new professional colleges and academic lyceums, which are also equipped with modern teaching and laboratory, computer and industrial equipment.

In response to the constant care and attention given by the President of the country, our youth achieves good results in various international competitions and Olympiads. All the necessary conditions for participants to conduct theoretical and experimental tasks have been created and scheduled holding of interesting cultural and educational activities during the Olympiad.

On April 24, the Tashkent branch of the Moscow State University named after M.Lomonosov hosted the opening ceremony of the 47th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad.
