A Week of "Fine Art Festival" will be held in Uzbekistan from 22 till 26 April.
In the press conference organized on this occasion, Chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan A.Nuriddinov and others noted that the State program "Year of Well-Being and Prosperity" focuses on the spiritual and aesthetic education of young people.
The festival of fine arts being held in the framework of this program by the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan and the Fund "Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan" also serves for this purpose.
The festival will be kicked off with exhibition dedicated to the Year of Well-Being and Prosperity. Works by artists and masters of applied arts will be presented at the exhibition. Besides, it is planned to hold personal exhibitions of painters from all regions of Uzbekistan.
Several exhibitions and presentations will also be held at the Tashkent House of Photography, Memorial park-museum named after Kamoliddin Behzod, International cultural caravanserai and Uzbekistan Fine Art Gallery.
Exhibitions of students of colleges, universities and institutes on such directions like fine arts and national costumes will give the festival a special atmosphere. During the days of festival, Arts Academy of Uzbekistan will also present its books, catalogues, scientific and educational editions and hold meetings with painters.
The conference "Traditions and contemporaneity in art of Uzbekistan" will discuss development of art in Uzbekistan during independence years. The event will be attended by scientists, painters, photographers and designers. It is also planned to hold exhibitions of sculptors, theatrical decorations, miniatures, calligraphy, fine, theatrical and cinema arts.
The festival will include national music, poetry and music nights. All exhibition halls will demonstrate films dedicated to the works of painters, sculptors, craftsmen and others. Events of the week will also be held in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regions.
