The first Uzbekistan International tourism fair “The world of recreation” (UITF-2013) opened at the UzExpoCentre pavillions on April 18.

The event is organised by Uzbektourism national company and Great Silk Road advertisement agency in cooperation with the World tourism organisation (UNWTO), Ministry of culture and sports affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ministry of foreign relations, investments and trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Tashkent city administration. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of Uzbek and foreign travel firms and compnaies, diplomatic corps, hotels as well as scientists and experts.

Chairman of the Uzbektourism national company F.Rizaev underlined in his speech that consistent efforts to rapidly development tourism sector in Uzbekistan, increasing the flow of inbound tourism to our country under the guidance of President Islam Karimov are carried out continously. Uzbekistan, rich in vast tourist potential, is attracting travelers with its ancient monuments, holy places, nice weathers and comfortable sites. It has over 4000 historical and cultural heritages sites. Peace and stability in our country, harmony and kindness in the society, Uzbek hospitality are set to increase the flow of tourists into the country in the future as well. The number of inbound tourists in 2012 increased 17,5% compared to 2011.

UITF –2013 is attended by not only by local travel companies, but also from China, Spain, Spain, Switzerland, Croatia, Maldives, UAE, Egypt, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia and Thailand.
