The Republican Public Children's Fund Sen Yolg'iz Emassan (You are not alone) together with the National Centre for Social Adaptation of Children organized an international conference on the current state and prospects of development of medical-social assistance and psychological-pedagogical support for children with autism.
Deputies, heads of various ministries and agencies, commissions, public organizations, the diplomatic corps and representatives of international organizations accredited in our country, specialists of medical and social spheres have participated in the conference organized in cooperation with the ministries of health, education, Higher and Secondary Special Education, Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the conference, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Ikromov, Chairperson of the National Centre for Social Adaptation of Children of Uzbekistan and the Board of Trustees of the Fund Sen Yolg'iz Emassan Lola Karimova-Tillayeva, Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan U.Inoyatov, First Deputy Minister of Health of Uzbekistan A.Khudoyorov, director of the National Screening Center "Mother and Child" M.Sharipova and others made speech.
In Uzbekistan, as a result of mother and child screening, implementation of progressive measures for the organization of qualified premarital medical examination of young people wishing to create a family, providing free vitamins for pregnant women and flour fortification with micronutrients, sharply reduced the birth of children with genetic and congenital diseases.
Implementation of projects such as the "Education for all!", "Inclusive education in Uzbekistan" at the pre-schools and institutions of general education helps to ensure disabled children a quality education and their integration into society.
Autism is an insufficient formation of communication skills in a physically and mentally healthy child. Solution of this problem requires a comprehensive approach, the interaction of doctors, psychologists, teachers and pathologists.
In our country, particular attention is paid to the provision of care for children with symptoms of autism. National Children's Fund Sen Yolg'iz Emassan successfully implements a number of social projects in this direction.
As noted the Professor of Hospital Center at the University of Toulouse (France) Kristian Batay, the problem of the integration of children with symptoms of autism in society is a worldwide concern. A comprehensive approach in Uzbekistan to the issue is an important factor in protecting and improving the health of children, their social protection.
Conference participants exchanged views on topical issues of the use of innovative techniques in identifying and elimination of autism, strengthening cooperation in this direction.
