Such issues as environmental degradation, endemic poverty, disease, under-development, intolerance, terrorism and the illicit proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, all pose a serious threat to our well-being and the very survival of our planet, and necessitate a sustained effort on the part of the international community.
Through the promotion of collective endeavour within the context of the United Nations, the universal forum for all States whether big or small, developed or developing, Trinidad and Tobago strives to work towards building a better and brighter future for all nations and all peoples in peace and prosperity.
