26 October, Seasonal flu vaccine to be offered at UNHQ
The UN Medical Services will be offering the seasonal flu shot, free of charge, to all individuals with a valid UN ID pass (including active and retired staff members, consultants, interns and permanent mission staff) until supply is exhausted. *Please note the change of location this year.
*Location: DC 1, 2nd Floor Training Room 0240
Date: 28-29 October, 4-5 and 11-12 November (Thursdays and Fridays)
Time: 10 am - 12:45 pm and 2:30 - 4:45 pm
-Before visiting DC 1, please review the "Seasonal Flu Vaccine Information Statement". You will be required to complete the "Seasonal Flu Vaccine Consent Form." After the vaccine is given, you will be required to remain for 20 minutes, for observation purposes.
-The flu shot is given in the upper arm. When you come in for your shot, please wear a short-sleeved shirt to allow easy access to this area.
-While the flu vaccine is being given at the above-specified times, please expect delays for the other services provided by the Medical Services. Response to emergencies will not be affected.
-Alternatively, you can also receive the influenza vaccine from your personal doctor, pharmacies and “flu clinics” in the local health system. (Click here for more information about where you can get the seasonal flu vaccine.)
