UNTV moves to Channel 150 on Time Warner Cable

UN TV channel 150UNTV's Channel on Time Warner Cable is now on Channel 150.  This move will expand its reach throughout the New York area and will improve its technical quality.

UNTV will stop broadcasting on Channel 78 as of August 22nd.

For the first time, Time Warner will make UNTV available in all five boroughs, as well as parts of Westchester County and New Jersey.

Staff working at Headquarters can continue to access the internal UNTV feed as usual.

UNTV broadcasts key open meetings live from Headquarters, as well as the daily briefings of the Secretary General’s spokesperson and other major press conferences.

21st CenturyUNTV also airs United Nations television productions, such as 21st Century, a monthly news magazine that puts a spotlight on the UN’s priority issues, and UN in Action, an award-winning series of television features on the work of the United Nations and its agencies.
 
Channel 150 will also show productions from the UN system’s agencies, funds and programmes and some independent programming, like Global connections, a talk show with UN officials hosted by Bill Miller.  

Outside New York, most UN Television productions may be watched at www.unmultimedia.org, and live events at Headquarters can be viewed on the UN Webcast, www.un.org/webcast.
