NON-RESIDENT NEPALI
The Non Resident Nepalese (NRNs) residing in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut state of the United States of America and in the countries accredited by this Mission can apply to the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations/Consulate General of Nepal in New York to obtain the NRN ID cards. They can also apply to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kathmandu for their NRN ID.
The NRNs willing to obtain NRN ID cards have to register their names by providing their detail information as prescribed in the NRN registration application form. The NRN registration application form can also be used for NRN ID card application. The application forms are available online.

How to apply for NRN ID?

Download and complete NRN registration application form available online.

Submit your application online or in person.

Take a print out of your application form and sign it.

Mail the signed application form together with other documents as prescribed in the application form or bring them with you if you are applying in person.

Enclose two copies of passport size photographs, a paid return envelope to send the ID to your address.

Enclose money order (US $. 500.00 for NRN ID and $ 20.00 for Registration) payable to the Consulate General of Nepal, New York. If you are Nepali citizen, enclose money order of US$ 50.00for NRN ID and US$20.00 for Registration.
