All fees are payable in U.S. funds and by Money Order and subject to change. Cost for return mail, express mail or such other service will be borne by applicant.
Visa Requirements
1. A valid Passport (valid at least 6 months)
2. One (1) Passport Photograph
3. Current Yellow Fever Vaccination
4. Completed Visa Application Form
Note: To attest any document or to request an Emergency Travelling Certificate, the Applicant must provide a valid identification issued by the Sierra Leone Authority (i.e. Passport (expired) or Original British Certificate). The issuance of visas is not automatic and in some cases processing may take close to two weeks. Members of the public are therefore advised to submit their requests two or three weeks ahead of their travel dates.
Sierra Leone Emergency Travel Certificate
Applicants for Sierra Leone Emergency Travel Certificate must download the Emergency Travelling Certificate and submit the completed form with the following:
1. A valid birth Certificate/National Identity Card/Expired Passport
2. Two (2) Passport Photos
Note: It would normally take two days to process requests for Emergency Travel Certificates. The public is therefore advised to submit their requests at least one week ahead of their scheduled travel dates.
Upon submission of application forms and supporting documents for any of the above services, applicants will be issued slips indicating receipt of the applications and date for 'pick-up' at the Mission.
