BILATERAL MEETING. President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is received by Secretary General Ban Ki-moon before their bilateral meeting at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on 28 September 2007. The President discussed a wide range of issues with the Secretary General including the situation in Myanmar. Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago delivers her paper on "Reservation to Treaties and Shared Natural Resources" before the Sixth (Legal) Committee of the United Nations General Assembly on November 2. The paper which was in consideration of the report of the 59th Session of the International Law Commission (ILC), a body of law experts who codify international law, which was presented by its chair Prof. Ian Brownley. Senator Santiago's address, which was also part of the celebration of ILC Week, followed her address before the 62nd UN General Assembly on November 1 and is part of the Philippine campaign for a seat in the International Court of Justice.
