On the morning of 11 November, 2010, His Excellency the Most Reverend Francis Assisi Chullikat, Titular Archbishop of Ostra and Nuncio and Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations, was invested in the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta as a Grand Cross Conventual Chaplain ad honorem.
The intimate ceremony was held at the Manhattan Residence of His Excellency Archbishop Chullikat.
His Excellency Ambassador Robert Shafer, Permanent Observer of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta to the United Nations delivered the proclamation:
“I have the honor to announce and proclaim that His Most Eminant Highness, Fra’ Matthew Festing, Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta, and the Sovereign Council have approved the proposal for membership in the Order as a Grand Cross Conventual Chaplain ad honorem of His Excellency the Most Reverend Francis Assisi Chullikat, Titular Archbishop of Ostra and Nuncio and Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations, who is here today to be invested.”
His Excellency Fra’ John Dunlap, Member of the Sovereign Council, carried out the investiture. |
