Earth Hour is an annual, international event that takes place on the 28th of March. Participants are invited to switch off their lights for one hour from 8.30 to 9.30 PM local time. Earth Hour was started by the World Wide Fund (WWF) back in 2007. Staff in all duty stations are invited to participate.

The website supports the UN campaign 2015: Time for Global Action and promotes the distinct processes that will lead to significant outcomes this year. The website does not replace or compete with any other website, and instead, is meant to be a portal to the many websites featuring sustainability issues.
