Welcome to the official web site of the Permanent Mission of Kenya to the United Nations in New York.

The new look and user friendly site has been designed with the support of the Council on Diplomacy and International Affairs in Washington, DC, a nonprofit organization that is devoted to assisting Permanent Missions and other diplomatic Missions to set up and maintain own web sites.

The Kenya Mission, an active member, and participant in the activities of the United Nations, will strive to provide information and connections to other sites that will enable the reader to have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Kenya.

The rapidly growing global network and quantum leap in the information and communication technologies (ICT), has resulted in a world in which virtually everyone everywhere, has the potential to reap the benefits of connectivity in the World Wide Web. I see information technology as a platform for widening the reach of the advanes already made by any country in domains like health, education, economy and all other social sectors.

Kenya is therefore preparing itself to leverage information technology in its national priorities of growth and poverty reduction and to strategically position itself for the global digital economy.
