UN staff, diplomats and citizens of Geneva gathered at the Palais des Nations on 20 March to celebrate the International Day of Forests and take part in a series of events related to Forests for Food and Food for Forests highlighting the linkages between gastronomy, the food and beverage industry, food production, our eating habits and forests.

Global | Greening the Blue

Earth Hour is an annual, international event that takes place on the 28th of March. Participants are invited to switch off their lights for one hour from 8.30 to 9.30 PM local time. Earth Hour was started by the World Wide Fund (WWF) back in 2007. Staff in all duty stations are invited to participate.
