  • The Security Council members welcomed the signing, on 12 June 2000 in Djeddah, and the subsequent ratification, of a Treaty defining the maritime and ground borders between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Yemen. This treaty was made possible thanks to the constructive dialogue between the two States concerned.
  • The Security Council members consider that this agreement will serve the interest of the two countries and will allow the strengthening of the relations of friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Yemen.
