Atomic Radiation

Belarus consistently supports the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) and highly values its contribution in accumulating and analysing scientific experience and national practices on atomic radiation and its impact on environment and human health.

Belarus seeks to join the UNSCEAR as a member. Affected by the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, Belarus has acquired a twenty-year experience and extensive knowledge in radioactive research and is eager to make its contribution in the work of UNSCEAR.
