Consular Services

    The Office of the Bahamas Consulate General in New York is  available to provide a variety of services to both Bahamian Nationals and the wider public living within its  jurisdictional areas.

    In particular, the New York Office of the Bahamas Consulate is responsible for providing its services to the following areas:

• New York

• Delaware

• Maine

• Massachusetts

• New Hampshire

• Pennsylvania

• Rhode Island

    Under the direction of the Consul General, Mr. Eldred Bethel, the Bahamas Consulate Office provides the following services to both Bahamian Nationals and the general public:

• Authentication of legal documents for use in or outside The Bahamas.

  • Affidavits

  • Notarization of Documents

• Issuance of Visas for persons requiring visas to travel to The Bahamas.

  • Tourist Visa Information

• Assistance to Bahamians who are in need of travel documents or in distress.

  • Passport Procedures

  • Lost Passports

  • Emergency Passports

  • Certificates of Identity

  • Deportation

• General Requests for Information on The Bahamas.

  • Information on the Financial, Social, Cultural, Historical and Geographical aspects of The Bahamas
